ISF has issued rules and usages for international trade in seed for sowing purposes to clarify and standardize contractual relations between buyers and sellers. These rules are reviewed at regular intervals. The last amendments were adopted by ISF’s General Assembly in May 2007 and the new version came into force on 1 July 2007.

They were modified on 3 Jan 2008 to take into account that the ISTA Green International Seed Lot Certificate is no longer in use from 1 Jan 2008.

Only the latest version of the rules is posted online. Those in force prior to this date are available on request from the ISF Secretariat.
