Protection of Intellectual Property and Access to Plant Genetic, 2004
Proceedings of the Seminar (CD ROM)

Evolution in science, technology and legal thought in the past two decades has raised new questions in intellectual property protection of plant related inventions and access to genetic resources for plant breeding. The intersection between intellectual property and plant genetic resources has given rise to intense, and sometimes heated, debates in government, NGO and industry circles at the international level. This seminar provided the context to this debate and helped to better understand how advances in science and technology have changed the way in which plant genetic resources are used and the corresponding manner in which intellectual property laws has expanded. See Abstracts.
