Jean-Christophe Gouache President
Jean-Christophe is an Agricultural Engineering graduate of the National Agronomic Institute in Paris. Since 1981 he has held a variety of positions within the Limagrain Group, starting as a corn breeder and progressing to Chief Operating Officer of LG Seeds (Groupe Limagrain), Illinois, and CEO of Pharmaceutical Company Dolisos (part of Limagrain Group).
A member of the Limagrain Executive Committee since 1998, Jean-Christophe held the positions of Corporate Vice-President for Scientific Affairs, CEO Field Seeds Division and CEO Vegetable Seeds Division. In addition to his role as ISF President, he is Corporate Vice President for International Affairs of the Limagrain Group and Vice President of the High Council for Biotechnology in France. Jean-Christophe is also a member-at-large of the European Seed Association Board and a board member of the French Seed Association (UFS).Close
Eduard Fitó First Vice President
Eduard is an Agricultural Engineering graduate of the University of Lleida. In 1994 Eduard joined Semillas FITO in the seed production department and later moved to breeding where he managed the maize program and established a new tomato breeding program.
Between 2002 and 2012 Eduard took on various roles in the company, developing the vegetables and field crop business.Since 2012 Eduard has held the position of Director of Corporate Affairs and Business Development. In addition to his role as First Vice President of ISF Eduard is also Chairman of the Spanish Seed Association (ANOVE) and a board member of the Anti-Infringement Bureau.Close
Donald Coles Second Vice President
Donald Coles is Managing Director of Valley Seeds Pty Ltd. He is Director of the Australian Seed Authority, and was elected President of the Australian Seed Federation in 2012. Donald holds a Diploma in Farm Management and a Masters of Business Administration from Deakin University.
Donald has held national positions within Australian Government agencies and affiliated bodies such as the Gene Technology Regulator and the Rural Industries Development Corporation.
Donald’s 40 year career spans supply chain management, quality assurance systems, retailing and retail supply. His extensive experience in agri business is combined with a detailed understanding of food and fibre production.
Donald has been directly involved in breeding new plant varieties, specifically the development, maintenance and auditing of trial protocols for forage, turf and cereals.
He has experience in a range of industries including biotechnology in plants, forage, turf, lawn and vegetable seed, as well as potato, beef, mutton and wool.Close
Álvaro Eyzaguirre Past President
Álvaro is an Agricultural Engineering graduate of the Catholic University of Chile. In 1987 he joined Semillas Pioneer Chile where he established the winter nursery program. Between 2002 to 2004, Álvaro was Nurseries and Research Seed Production Coordinator at DuPont Pioneer headquarters in Iowa.
In 2005 Álvaro returned to Chile as Pioneer Chile Assistant Country Manager and in 2006 was promoted to Country and Supply Manager for Semillas Pioneer Chile. Álvaro is currently DuPont Chile Country Manager, and DuPont Pioneer Country Manager & Business Director for Chile, Peru, and Bolivia. Álvaro has been the First Vice President of the Chilean National Seed Producer’s Association since 2005 and an active board member of ISF since 2009. Álvaro served as ISF President 2014-2016.Close
Dr Usha Barwale Zehr Breeders' Committee Chair
Dr. Usha Barwale Zehr is Director and Chief Technology Officer at Maharashtra Hybrid Seeds Company Private Limited (Mahyco). An Agronomy graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Usha worked at Purdue University on the sorghum improvement program before joining Mahyco.
For the last 18 years Usha has been utilizing new technologies and tools – including biotechnology – for improving the quality and productivity of seeds and agriculture. In addition to her ISF roles as Breeders’ Committee Chair and Board member, Usha serves as Director of Barwale Foundation, trustee of the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center and Alliance for Green Revolution in Africa.Close
Vincent Vuille Treasurer
Vincent is an Agricultural Engineering graduate of the Bern University of Applied Sciences. He spent 25 years of his professional career with Otto Hauenstein Seeds Ltd. in Switzerland before joining KWS as Regional Director for south-eastern Europe in its corn and oil crops division, based in Vienna.
In 2012 he returned to Switzerland to serve as Managing Director of Otto Hauenstein Seeds Ltd. In the same year Vincent became ISF Treasurer. He is Vice President of the Swiss Grasslands Society AGFF and Vice President of Swiss Seed, the Swiss Association for seed trade and plant breeders’ rights. Beyond that, he is a licensed paragliding pilot.Close
